As a SaaS provider WorkWave aims at perfecting the services for the end customers of their clients. After thorough consideration of their business model, they decided that their clients will benefit greatly from a web portal application where end customers are able to self-service.

R&D Solutions has experience delivering bespoke software using modern technology stack and responsive designs. For WorkWave we developed Customer self-service appointment scheduling and billing web portal which is integrated with the Single Sign On solution. Some of the features of the Customer Portal are:

  • Recent and upcoming services at-a-glance
  • View account statement and service history
  • Make payments and update billing information
  • Review material usage history, device inspections, pest findings and deficiencies
  • Scheduling service

The portal is hosted on the AWS infrastructure and is highly available, scalable and fault tolerant. It is used to handle end-to-end provisioning process of the necessary PestPac Customer Portal environments (Dev, Staging, Production and On-demand). The process of implementing Customer Self-service appointment scheduling and billing portal at its core includes:

  • Developing the web system using .NET stack
  • Considering the development process and the deployment to AWS
  • Provisioning the desired environments (Dev, Staging, Production) on AWS
  • Restricting the inbound traffic accordingly using Security Groups
  • Using Route 53 and Classic Load Balancers to route the traffic
  • Establishing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices with GO CD
  • Automating the unit, acceptance and load testing processes using GO CD
  • Integrating the system with Single Sign On solution
