The portal is hosted on the AWS infrastructure and is highly available, scalable and fault tolerant. It is used to handle end-to-end provisioning process of the necessary PestPac Customer Portal environments (Dev, Staging, Production and On-demand). The process of implementing Customer Self-service appointment scheduling and billing portal at its core includes:
- Developing the web system using .NET stack
- Considering the development process and the deployment to AWS
- Provisioning the desired environments (Dev, Staging, Production) on AWS
- Restricting the inbound traffic accordingly using Security Groups
- Using Route 53 and Classic Load Balancers to route the traffic
